The Role:
We are now looking for a motivated individual to join us as a Sander Specialist based at our Triboard Mill located in Kaitaia. This is a full-time position working 42 hours per week. You will ensure a high quality of sanded board, analyse problems, identify and report machine issues.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all duties in a manner that ensure the safety of self and other personnel on site.
- Assist in the identification, elimination and control of on-site hazards, non-conformances and corrective actions.
- Train all sander staff to the required standard,
- Ensure training documents are kept current and up to date
- Maintain daily checks and evaluate and inform stores of Belt requirements
- Ensure all operators are performing at the required standard and are completing all quality checks correctly
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a Sander Operator
- Experience in an industrial environment
- Experience of the importance of adhering to health and safety procedures
- Ability to train and monitor staff
- Excellent interpersonal and people management skills
- Strong problem solving & analytical skills
- Strong organisation and prioritising skills
- Good understanding of SOP's and the sanding machinery
- Basic computer skills
