Working for JNL you will be part of one of the Kaitaia’s largest employers, your primary role will be to ensure the scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
This is a hands on role maintaining equipment, finding the cause of unscheduled stoppages and completing repairs in an efficient timely manner. You will also support improvement programmes & share your ideas on improvements in a large manufacturing setting.
Role 1: Currently this role is a shift position but may change in future depending on company requirements. The 4 on 4 off roster consists of 2x 12hr days (6.30am-6.30pm), 2x 12hr nights (6.30pm-6.30am) then 4 days off, and potential for extra hours.
Role 2: Day Shift
Remuneration:
- $30-$35 per hour
- Shift Allowance: 8.75%
- Overtime: Varies depending on circumstances. Paid at T1.25

What we need from you:
You will have good knowledge and experience with Mechanical repairs. Experience in an industrial environment would be an advantage but is in no way essential, as long as you have an understanding of the nature of the industry and an interest in it.
You will have a well-rounded knowledge in Engineering maintenance, with the ability to be able to make decisions autonomously when required.
Applicants must have:
- Full NZ Class 1 Drivers License
- NZ residency or a valid work permit
- A minimum of 3 years experience as a maintenance Fitter
- Good knowledge and experience with mechanical repairs
Attributes that would be an advantage but not essential:
- New Zealand Certificate in Mechanical and Maintenance Engineering or equivalent qualification (at Level 4)
- F (forklift) Endorsement
