The Opportunity

We’ve got a fantastic opportunity for an experienced in-house Legal Counsel to play a pivotal role in ensuring the Gallagher Group companies operate in compliance with local and international laws across our global operations.

Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this newly created role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a robust compliance framework encompassing various legal and regulatory areas, including modern slavery and sustainability legislation.

The Fit

We’re looking for someone who is digitally savvy, with the energy and passion to thrive in a dynamic, growth focused environment. You’ll be an experienced commercial lawyer with strong commercial acumen and a clear understanding of strategic direction. To succeed in this role you’ll also need:

  • LLB (minimum).
  • 5+ years legal experience post admission (PQE) in corporate law.
  • Proven experience as part of a high-performing team focused environment.
  • Additional experience designing, implementing, and managing compliance programs within a global corporate environment is preferable but not essential.
  • Dedication to exceeding the needs and expectations of internal (& external) customers.
  • A collaborative approach with proven ability to engage with wider teams to deliver outcomes.
  • The ability to analyse and interpret complex information and make effective, well-reasoned decisions.
