The Opportunity
We have a unique opportunity for an Integration Architect with experience leading significant integration architecture transformation at an enterprise-wide level. As our Principal Architect - Enterprise Integration, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and overseeing the integration strategies and solutions within Gallagher. You’ll be directing the design and delivery of logical architectures, architectural patterns, business capabilities, technical solutions, and integration governance processes that enable and empower the Gallagher Group to meet its tactical and strategic business goals.
Working with key senior stakeholders and project teams across the business, you’ll be responsible for aligning technology solutions with business objectives, ensuring seamless communication and data flow between disparate systems, and optimizing the overall enterprise. You’ll also provide crucial thought leadership through understanding the overall business strategy and directing the creation of an Enterprise Integration Architecture roadmap that delivers all the capabilities required to achieve our strategic outcomes.
The Fit
We’re looking for an Integration Architect with significant experience in developing and implementing IT architecture plans, Enterprise Integration Architecture standard and guidelines, software development methodologies and strategic plans. You’ll have proven experience creating enterprise models and you’ll have a deep understanding of complex business use cases. You’ll be gifted in the synthesis and analysis of complex customer and business problems to drive solutions, with experience making data-driven, customer-centric decisions to define scalable information architecture solutions that lead to increased discoverability, comprehension, and customer engagement. To succeed in this role, you’ll also need:
- M.S. or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or other relevant discipline.
- 10+ years of experience as an Integration Architect at Senior level or above.
- Hands-on experience with Workato (Automation Pro II, Pro III certification).
- Strong understanding of REST web services.
- Solid knowledge of APIs and Common Data Model.
- Proficiency in data modelling and processing data flows – SQL Queries.
- Skills in JSON, CSV, HTML, Ruby, Javascript and Python.
- Ability to build out integrations and customizations.
- Experience in developing data models that support inter alia, time dependency, historical tracings, taxonomies (simple and complex).
- Mastery of application modelling languages/techniques (e.g., UML, OML, entity relationship modelling, DFDs).
- Experience in business process improvement and knowledge of business intelligence tools.
- Deep understanding of transaction and information systems, data warehouses, data marts, ODS, MDM methodologies and life cycle as well as ETL and MDM technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in data modelling, information architecture, schema evolution, analytics, and data organisation layouts.
