So, what are your key responsibilities?

  • Course delivery, assessment, and development.
  • \n
  • Deliver and assess ETCO approved courses in a block course and day release format.
  • \n
  • Manage the delivery of Year 1 to Year 3 block courses, day releases and foundation courses.
  • \n
  • Delivery of CPD Courses.
  • \n
  • Support apprentices by providing pastoral care and encouragement.
  • \n
  • Monitor student achievements and results, providing timely feedback to students.
  • \n
  • Build strong working relationships with Learning Support Managers and Apprentice Mentors.
  • \n

Desired Skills and Experience\n

What is going to make you stand out from the rest?

\n
    \n
  • NZ Electrical Registration (Full Practicing License, Inspectors Licence or Electrical Engineering Degree or similar) is a must.
  • \n
  • Extensive practical experience in the Electrical Industry
  • \n
  • Proven working experience in Adult Tertiary Teaching or Training is desirable, but we can support and develop you in this area.
  • \n
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and student engagement. Lesson and curriculum planning skills is a plus.
  • \n
  • Prior people management or supervisory experience.
  • \n
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite including Outlook, Word and Powerpoint.
  • \n
  • Unit Standard 4098 – agree within one month of employment to enrol in the Unit Standard 4098 course within 6 months of employment.
