We are looking for an experienced, USA-based engineer to provide technical

advisory services to key clients specifically around Microsoft Azure, Intune,

Microsoft 365, and the Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security suite of products.


As a Consulting Engineer (aka Tech Lead) at Mobile Mentor, you will play a critical

role in leading the design, implementation, and optimization of workplace

experience and end-point security technologies for our clients. Your expertise will

directly impact the efficiency, security, and performance of end-user devices

across various organisations, heavily leveraging the Microsoft ecosystem.


1. Client Consultation and Needs Assessment:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, business goals, and

technical challenges.

  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify pain points and opportunities

for improvement.

2. Solution Design and Architecture:

  • Develop strategies tailored to each client’s unique environment.
  • Design scalable and efficient solutions that align with industry best practices.
  • Consider factors such as security, compliance, scalability, and user experience.

3. Implementation and Deployment:

  • Lead the implementation of solutions, including software

deployment, patch management, and configuration management.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful

deployment and minimal disruption to end-users.

4. Technical Expertise:

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and

best practices.

  • Provide guidance on selecting and configuring tools such as Mobile
  • Device Management (MDM), Unified Endpoint Management (UEM),

and end-point security platforms.

5. Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:

  • Investigate and resolve complex issues.
  • Collaborate with support teams to troubleshoot and address client

concerns promptly.

6. Documentation and Training:

  • Create detailed technical documentation, including architecture

diagrams, deployment guides, and standard operating procedures.

  • Train internal teams and clients on best practices.

7. Continuous Improvement:

  • Monitor the effectiveness of deployed solutions and recommend


  • Participate in post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned

and areas for improvement.

8. Leadership of other engineering resources

  • This role will be responsible for executing much of the work directly,

but will also work with other talented engineering resources for execution.

  • A focus on delivering quality work while leveraging lower-cost

resources will be key.



Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information

Technology, or a related field preferred, but experience will be key to

success in this role.


  • Minimum of 5 years in end-point management, system

administration, end-point security or a similar consulting engineer


  • Desirable technical experience: Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Azure

AD/EntraID, Active Directory, Windows Server, ADCS, NPS, SCCM,

Networking – DNS, DHCP, Identity – authentication, SAML, OIDC,


  • Desirable operational experience: working in an MSP or MSSP to

deliver commercially profitable, high-quality work to clients

  • Beneficial: Familiarity with tools such as VMware Workspace

ONE/Airwatch, Ivanti MobileIron or JAMf.


• Highly preferred: Microsoft MD-100, MD-102, MS-100, MS-102, AZ-140,


• Beneficial: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+, Certified Information

Systems Security Professional (CISSP), ITIL Foundation


Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to

interact with clients and internal teams.
