About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Stores person responsible for assisting the Site Supervisor to achieve the Health and Safety, Schedule, Quality, and Cost objectives of the Project in accordance with Project-specific plans. 

This position is responsible for monitoring and controlling tools, equipment and materials during the project control phase and for monitoring materials both in off-site storage and on the construction site. 

  • Organising  and documenting visual inspections for defects/damage of materials delivered into storage or the construction site and ensuring these inspections are documented. 
  • Preparing and/or updating material stock lists both on-site and in off-site storage locations.
  • Planning, organising, and supervising material deliveries.
  • Controlling material movements on the construction site in coordination with a construction team.
  • Monitoring materials consumption on the construction site and communicating when reorders are required.

To be considered for this role you will need to:

  • Be computer literate and have experience with creating purchase orders, producing reports, and controlling inventory levels.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and returns.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Previous experience working with electrical products on the tools is an advantage.
  • Logistics and procurement qualifications are desirable.
  • Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy weights.
  • Current forklift License.
  • Current NZ driver license.
  • Microsoft Office experience (desirable).
  • Electrician registration and active practicing license with New Zealand EWRB (desirable but not essential).
