Juken New Zealand Ltd (JNL) is an international forest and wood products company operating in local and global timber markets. JNL owns four wood processing plants in the North Island, and forests in the Wairarapa and East Coast regions. We work closely with our parent company in Japan – WoodOne.

The two mills situated in Kaitaia are currently working a 5½ day / 24 hr operation processing Radiata Pine into reconstituted wood panels and peeled, dried veneer.

An opportunity has now become available for an experienced and motivated individual to join the business in the position of Mechanical Administrator based at our Northland Mill located in Kaitaia. This is a waged position working 5 days per week and a minimum of 40 hours.

Remuneration:

$25-$27 per hour

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Collect, collate and maintain worker timesheets, Work orders, competency and compliance documentation
  2. End to end facilitation of the requisition to purchase order process
  3. Maintenance of training and induction compliance portals and systems as required
  4. Document and report preparation
  5. Additional duties as required by on site team
  6. Daily data entry of payroll hours, machine hours and site movements
  7. Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems
  8. Reconcile and report on monthly data
  9. Run daily reports to monitor and maintain records and distribution of weekly reports.
  10. Complete and maintain records for the hire and running of heavy and light machinery on site, including breakdowns and servicing
  11. Complete requisitions and purchase orders for goods and services, including receipting and invoice reconciliation
  12. Support the site Maintenance Supervisor and Manager where required, both in the office and outside
  13. General ad hoc administration duties

The ideal candidate will have:

  • NCEA Level 1 & 2
  • Excellent interpersonal and people management skills are essential.
  • 1-3 years’ Industrial Mechanical experience would be preferred.
  • National Certificate in Maintenance Diagnostics Level 1-4 or Trade Certificate would be advantageous.

  • Reliable transportation
