With production plants located in Gisborne, Kaitaia and Masterton we service local and export markets. About the role
We have a great opportunity for a motivated and experienced Production Manager to join our team. Reporting to the General Manager, you will manage the day to day production processes of the mill, planning and leading activities and efficiently utilising resources to cost effectively manufacture products to customer specification. This is a fulltime role working a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Remuneration:
$95K - 110K per annum
Key responsibilities:
- Lead all facets of production operations to achieve the Mill’s production Key Performance Indicators.
- Implement performance management objectives aligned with the objectives of the business.
- Report and contribute to the preparation of production, financial and business plans.
- Manage people, plant and processes to maximise productivity.
- Liaise closely with the Maintenance Manager to address all plant and operational issues.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of corporate HSE policies and procedures.
- Establish clear communication lines with production staff to develop a supportive and collaborative team.

- Demonstrated experience in manufacturing and production management (preferably in the wood processing industry)
- Demonstrated people management and leadership experience
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
- A focus on continuous improvement
