Purpose of Position: The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing a company's relationships with its customers. They oversee building long-term relationships with Key customers. The Key Account Manager may oversee finding new business, be assigned prospects, given accounts, or a combination thereof. Tasks include project management, strategic planning, sales support, service application, logistics and marketing.

Travel:  50%-75%

Location: Western States

Key Position Responsibilities

  • Generate sales among client accounts, including upselling and cross-selling
  • Operates as the point of contact for assigned customers
  • Develops and maintains long-term relationships with accounts
  • Makes sure clients receive requested products and services in a timely fashion
  • Communicates client needs and demands to employer company
  • Forecasts and tracks client account metrics
  • New parts creation for customers
  • Manage customer portals and pricing maintenance
  • Manage projects within client relationships, working to carry out client goals while meeting company goals
  • Identifies opportunities to grow business with existing clients
  • Coordinate with staff members working on the same account to ensure consistent service
  • Collaborates with sales team to reach prospective clients
  • Service multiple clients concurrently, often meeting deadlines
  • Keep records of client transactions

  • Manage weekly call cycles
  • Take ownership for upholding the principles of the Gallagher brand, helping to deliver a world-class customer experience
  • Educate customers on products
  • Set up new store sets and organize products in set
  • Handle warranty
  • Monitor stock levels, on hand supply and out of stocks
  • Point Of Purchase, current catalogs, selling materials
  • Light training for store employees 
  • Open Houses/New Store Openings
  • Keeping retailers informed of new products
  • Competitor Analysis
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications/Experience required:

  • BA/BS Degree or 5+ years account management experience
  • Talent for influencing client management
  • Client-Focused Solutions experience
