Key Account Manager/ Retail Specialist

Purpose of Position: The Key Account Manager is responsible for managing a company's relationships with its customers. They oversee building long-term relationships with Key customers. The Key Account Manager may oversee finding new business, be assigned prospects, given accounts, or a combination thereof. Tasks include project management, strategic planning, sales support, service application, logistics and marketing.
Travel: 50%-75%
Location: Western States
Key Position Responsibilities
- Generate sales among client accounts, including upselling and cross-selling
- Operates as the point of contact for assigned customers
- Develops and maintains long-term relationships with accounts
- Makes sure clients receive requested products and services in a timely fashion
- Communicates client needs and demands to employer company
- Forecasts and tracks client account metrics
- New parts creation for customers
- Manage customer portals and pricing maintenance
- Manage projects within client relationships, working to carry out client goals while meeting company goals
- Identifies opportunities to grow business with existing clients
- Coordinate with staff members working on the same account to ensure consistent service
- Collaborates with sales team to reach prospective clients
- Service multiple clients concurrently, often meeting deadlines
- Keep records of client transactions

- Manage weekly call cycles
- Take ownership for upholding the principles of the Gallagher brand, helping to deliver a world-class customer experience
- Educate customers on products
- Set up new store sets and organize products in set
- Handle warranty
- Monitor stock levels, on hand supply and out of stocks
- Point Of Purchase, current catalogs, selling materials
- Light training for store employees
- Open Houses/New Store Openings
- Keeping retailers informed of new products
- Competitor Analysis
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Experience required:
- BA/BS Degree or 5+ years account management experience
- Talent for influencing client management
- Client-Focused Solutions experience
